Legislative District 59
The 59th legislative district is very rural with spotty access to high-speed internet and cell phone service. Changing the district creates a barrier to accessing their legislator due to issues with receiving timely information and GPS availability. Westmoreland has a high concentration of senior citizens. This community tends to be on a fixed income. They are ill-equipped to buy and learn new technology that will help them find their new legislative office and consequently receive assistance they are seeking.
