Legislative district 59
Hello. I am against restructuring of this district. The district has experienced the recent trauma and turmoil of the untimely death of a legislator, a special election, and office relocations. During the transition, we had many constituents say they would wait months for the nearest office to open, rather than travel to the other side of the district. The 59th legislative district is very rural with spotty access to high-speed internet and cell phone service. Changing the district creates a barrier to accessing their legislator due to issues with receiving timely information and GPS availability Westmoreland has a high concentration of senior citizens. Many in the community are on a fixed income. They are not equipped to buy and learn new technology that will help them find their new legislative office. Please leave the district as is.
