Legislative district 59
Our district has been through the death of a beloved legislator, a special election, and office relocations. During that time we had many constituents say they would wait months for the nearest office to open, rather than travel to the other side of the district. That's very telling. The 59th legislative district is very rural with spotty access to high-speed internet and cell phone service. Changing the district is a serious issue when you consider our ability to access high quality internet and get information in a timely manner. Also, Westmoreland is comprised of many senior citizens on a fixed income. They don't have the tools and resources to buy and learn new technology that will help them find their new legislative office. This change in no way would be beneficial for our district. I urge you to stop doing things that are detrimental to us.
