Legislative District 59

This district has experienced the recent and untimely death of a people-centered legislator who was accessible to his constituents. During the transition period of electing a new legislator, many constituents said they would rather wait months for help waiting for a new legislator because they were unable to travel to the other side of the district. The 59th legislative district is very rural with spotty access to high-speed internet and cell phone service. Changing the district creates a barrier for constituents ability to access their legislator. Additionally, District 59 has a high concentration of senior citizens mostly on a fixed income who are unable to buy and learn new technology that will help them find their new legislative office. Leslie Rossi is doing a great job visiting her offices and being accessible to her constituents. She spends her own money traveling and I don't want to lose her due to redistricting.
