District # 59
I currently represent District 59 as a representative and my family has been a part of working to grow the area by being small business owners and providing jobs to hundreds of individuals as well as we have continuously provided quality housing for people to live in within the district, for decades. We have worked, lived, and raised a large family here and so it is important to me that this district and the lines remain the same or similar during the redistricting process currently taking place for many reasons. The Laurel Highlands area has similar needs and the communities within are quite connected. We often work together on projects that address water, sewage, environmental, parks and recreation, as well as roadways and many other issues that are similar in nature, as it is a very rural area here in Pennsylvania. Constituents have built relationships with my staff as well as myself, as I divide my time equally by being present in my district offices daily when I am not in Harrisburg. We continuously get solid feedback, which says a lot about how much we understand the area and the needs of the people that live within the lines of District # 59. The people who reside here have easy access to the office locations that they count on for assistance with their many needs that they have. With the high volume of calls and in person visits we experience, our numbers show just how much we are servicing the many people that we do, because the current district lines are working well for the people. To change this, simply does not make any sense! Not only are we able to manage and assist all constituents in a timely manner, we are making positive strides that make District # 59 a favorable place for people to want to live and work in. We do not hear of people asking or seeking for that to change and I ask that you take what I am saying in to consideration to keep a strong solid district that functions well intact, because it is what the people deserve. Residents of District # 59 are not looking for any drastic regional line changes that would upset the fine balance we already have that is working and I ask that you keep that in mind through this redistricting process. If you are in need of adding population to District #59, I would suggest adding Youngstown Borough. There are also some areas in Unity Twp that the district loops around that it could include such as Whitney and perhaps the Lawson Heights area that would then extend down toward the Latrobe area. These are all very close in proximity and would be good options to consider if adding is needed. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
