Please redraw 17th PA House District
I live in Crawford County in the 17th State House District. There are currently three house districts here in Crawford County. The 6th, the 17th and the 65th. None are solely in my county. The 6th is located in 2 counties, the 17th is located in 4 counties and the 65th is located in 3 counties. I am requesting that the 17th State Legislative district be redrawn so it is no longer in 4 counties and so long. Ideally, given the population of Crawford County, there should be only two house districts located here, one district that is only in Crawford County and the other which has a portion in a surrounding county. I live in this district and for years wondered why my lightly populated county has 3 pa house districts and why mine stretched from Lake Erie to well below Route 80. It seems to me it clearly violates the PA constitutions mandate to draw lines to keep in same county where possible. It may be the case that in Crawford County, our population is higher than one district for the whole county but certainly the current map violates the PA Constitution. Please redraw so there are only two districts and one is wholly within Crawford County.
