One person, one vote - not 1 acre one vote

Fair representation is based upon one person, one vote. Not one acre, one vote. Residents of densely populated areas deserve equal representation to residents of sparsely populated areas. In addition, The proposed House map unnecessarily divides Lower Merion School District, the fastest-growing school district in PA, that will only continue to grow through the next decade. The proposed House map impedes our elected officials’ ability to advocate effectively and leads to confusion in the community as to who their legislator is — it splits up neighbors. By keeping House Districts 148 and 149 similar to the current map, in cracking Lower Merion and Narberth, the proposed House map does not consider the population growth over the last decade. (HD 148 and 149 are in the top five largest population growth districts in fast growing SEPA.)
