opposed to Mifflin\Juniata Redistricting

As a resident of Juniata county, I oppose the redistricting proposal as Mifflin and Juniata counties have worked well together combining their resources for the better of both counties. We have a state representative who is very supportive of our local communities and personally knows the needs and concerns of our counties. Redistricting changes would mean longer commute times, less personal service and longer wait times to address the rural needs of Juniata county citizens. Redistricting would also impact and change access to services shared by Mifflin Juniata couny agencies and programs already in place or in progress. Mifflin and Juniata counties share quick and easy access into each other via Rt. 322. Many Juniata county citizens work in Mifflin county. The two counties also share the Juniata river which runs through both counties and serves as a tourist attraction which is promoted by the Juniata River Valley to the benefit of both counties. Mifflin and Juniata counties have shared values, terrain and way of life that are important to their residents and deserve representation that continues to address the needs and strengths of its people.
