Thank you & Senate Map

Although my involvement in the drawing of fair district maps and my understanding of the politics involved is limited, I am educated enough on the topic to know that the current transparency and inclusion of citizens' voices in the process of drawing maps is groundbreaking. Thank you Chairman Nordenberg and the Legislative Redistricting Committee! My comment is related to the population deviation for senate districts. The senate districts currently favor rural areas of north and northwestern Pennsylvania and impairs fair representation in Southeastern Pennsylvania. By drawing the map in this way, the voting power of Southeastern Pennsylvania is diluted instead of being fairly represented. Fair representation would take into account the shift in population that has occurred and continues to occur from rural areas to more urban/suburban areas of the state. Again, thank you for the opportunity to comment on the districting map process.
