Redistricting Bucks County
I am a 31 year resident of Bensalem Township. I am writing to make very clear to the LRC that Bucks County is divided into three distinct sections - Lower Bucks, Central Bucks, and Upper Bucks. Lower Bucks is composed of Bensalem, Levittown (Bristol, Middletown, Falls), Upper Southampton and Lower Southampton. Lower Bucks has a significantly lower average income, lower performing schools, and higher rates of addiction and crime than Central Bucks County. There is a distinct socio-economic difference between the townships of Lowe Bucks and Middle /upper Bucks County. This appears to be a political ploy to change elections. Any effort to divide Bucks County into "east" and "west" will ultimately lead to the lower half of each district getting overlooked by their State Senator. Please do not let well-intentioned folks from outside Bucks County draw districts that do not accurately reflect the clear socio-economic and cultural breakdown of the area.
