Support for draft maps; Horsham & Senate Dist. 12
As a resident of Horsham Township and the 12th Senate District, I support the draft legislative district map recently issued by the Commission for District 12. As drawn, this map is consistent with the Pennsylvania Redistricting Advisory Council's guiding principles of legal, representation, and process recommendations. The draft map is compact and contiguous; it keeps communities together and ensures people will be proportionally represented. It will improve integrity and fairness for this district, and prevents the dilution of a person/community's vote. I appreciate the Commission's fair and transparent process in developing these maps, and urge the Commission to issue final approval after the public comment period concludes.
