Lancaster Township map change
As a resident in Lancaster Township, I think the Senate Map needs to be competitive and not just protect incumbents. Our fragile democracy needs competitive districts ensuring a representative legislature. The proposed map does not take into consideration that Lancaster Township has much more in common with the city than the outlying suburbs. I live one block from the city. Many decisions made there impact me and my neighbors. Many residents in Lancaster Township, Manheim Township and Lancaster City feel connected the city and its urban feel. These areas also have increasing numbers of people of color who need equitable representation which they will not get if their areas are mapped in with rural districts. Please consider protecting the people of PA and democracy by creating competitive districts.
