Bucks County Proposal
As a committed Democrat, I appreciate attempts to draw election districts that are more likely to result in the election of a similar percentage of Democratic state representatives to the percentage of votes cast statewide for Democratic candidates for the legislature. However, for the reasons stated in the editorial published in this morning's editorial in the Bucks County Courier Times (13 Jan 2022), the proposed redistricting of Bucks County is (1) too disruptive in terms of the number of voters moved into new House districts, and (2) results in too many non-competitive districts. Please consider Rep. Frank Farry's counterproposals. I often disagree with Rep. Farry -- he sees things from a GOP perspective while I see them from a Democratic perspective. But he is thoughtful, and in this case he is correct.
