Latinos Matter

It’s time for Pennsylvania to fix the maps that were made based on politics and not people. I live in Allentown. English is my second language and one of my kids has translated my comments so that everybody in your commission will know what I am saying. Most people in Allentown are Latino like me. We are a fast growing population and we need to have a chance to vote for people who will represent us. The reason for redrawing the maps is for this reason and not so that incumbent politicians can get stuff drawn in a way that helps them. I will say that the map for the State Representatives is better, but it’s the one for the Senate that needs some more work. Lancaster and the Lehigh Valley have a lot of minorities and we definitely shouldn’t have our power split and diluted. In this country, I am a housekeeper, but make no mistake I am intelligent and pay attention to what’s happening. Latinos are hardworking people and help the economy grow strong in Pennsylvania. Thank you for listening and for working on these maps some more.
