Objection to losing district 85
I am objecting to the new districting map that destroys Mifflin and Juniata counties. Mifflin and Juniata Counties share many services which would be drastically hurt by separating these two counties. We share many healthcare services as well as even the state police barracks which is located in Juniata County but serves both counties. Our school districts work together with a vocational school in Mifflin County which also serves Juniata County students. We would lose our representative and his office which is located in Mifflintown which is convenient for most of us in Juniata County. That office is close and has served me and my family well over the years. This is a terrible map and would hurt thousands of people in the Juniata Valley area. Whoever is trying to squeeze us out of our representation should be ashamed and has obviously not considered all the problems this will create for the residents of Juniata/Mifflin counties.
