Redistricting overhaul

PA has a long history of putting the power of redistricting into the hands of a small group without appropriate checks and balances. District maps are ridiculously manipulated to leverage election results. The current proposal splits a neighboring town of 1200 people (Aspinwall) in two. This makes no sense in terms of appropriate advocacy. When maps mean Rs win 13 of 18 seats despite a D:R ration of 5:4, that’s not representational government. That’s cheating. Back to the drawing board, folks—and let’s keep it fair and impartial.
