Proposed Senate districts 12, 17 and 7 not compact

I live in Horsham Township, Montgomery County, and am currently in district 12, that combines townships surrounding the former Willow Grove Air Base. I think the current district 12 does a good job of combining townships with similar concerns, like water quality (PFAS contamination from the old air base) and that grouping them together makes sense even though they are in two different counties. So, I would rather see the district stay the way it is. Now, the proposed new district 12 obeys the rule not to cross county lines and if it has to be that way then I would say that at least the communities grouped in the proposed 12 do share a lot of common characteristics. So, the proposed Senate district 12 is OK in that regard. However, I am concerned about the resulting shapes in surrounding districts like 17 and 7. They don't seem to make sense at all, are not compact and combine areas with very different communities - very rural areas are combined with parts of Philadelphia. I think the Fair Districts PA People's map does a good job of drawing compact senate districts for Montgomery County that make sense and give us a chance of having senators that actually live in Montgomery County. I would suggest another look at that map. Thank you for your hard work on the maps and I appreciate your efforts to draw fair maps for all Pennsylvanians.
