Concern Over State Legislative District 20
To Whom It May Concern: I am writing to discuss my concern with the proposed redistricting of my state legislative district. Currently, I live in Pittsburgh Ward 26-14 (Summer Hill), and part of the 20th legislative district. Summer Hill has numerous roads and resources that start in Summer Hill and extend into Ross Township. We have worked with our state representatives in the past on many issues between our area and Ross Township, and it has been beneficial to have a state representative that represents both areas. I am quite concerned that the new proposed redistricting map does not include my area with Ross Township in the same legislative district. Along with the road issues indicated above, many of Summer Hill residents use Ross Township on a daily basis (I would even say more than city resources) and it has been quite beneficial for the residents to have a state representative that represents both areas. I find that not including Summer Hill with Ross Township would be a detriment to all the residents of Summer Hill. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me.
