Support for Holt Senate Map for Exception 2 City o

I support this map, as it divides the City of Pittsburgh into two senate districts, rather than three. Dividing the city into three districts goes against the state constitution requiring a minimum number of municipal divisions. The northern suburbs should be grouped together into one district, District 38. The northern suburban communities of Millvale, Reserve, Avalon, Bellevue, Ben Avon, Ben Avon Heights, Emsworth and Kilbuck have more in common with each other than they do with the city of Pittsburgh. (For example, the northern school districts compete in the same sports leagues.) This map creates a suburban district entirely north of the Ohio/Allegheny Rivers. With this proposed map, all of the Shaler school district will now be intact in District 38. (Removing Millvale and Reserve from District 42) Pittsburgh Wards 10, 11 and 12 will be added back to District 42, thus retaining population parity and creating a more compact District 42.
