Centre County house districts poorly laid out
The legislative districts proposed by the the LRC for Centre County are poorly designed. District 171 oddly reaches far to the south of Centre County, was this just intended to protect the current representative? No other reason makes sense as these are geographically very separate areas. State College is combined with wildly dissimilar areas far to the north, even though it would make sense to combine it with Centre region townships in south central Centre County. The district boundaries proposed by FDPA make much more sense - keeping all three districts in Centre County compact with minimal reach outside of Centre County.
